This was a student project where i was given the task to redesign a book. I chose to redesign "The green mile" by Stephen King. My cousin has handmade swings in her yard that I took a photograph of and added the one in the background with Photoshop, I then took a photo of a friend that owns a local gym and turned his photo into a casting shadow. The photograph on the back cover is of the jail in Pontotoc, MS. After asking, I was taken in to the corridor where the cell doors were and allowed to take photos for this book. I have found that if you know the right people, and the correct way of asking, then anything can be accomplished. Don't be afraid to ask!
